Mountain biking down the “World's Most Dangerous Road" from La Cumbre to Coroico is one of the most popular activities amongst backpackers in Bolivia. alike this is a ride to remember. Starting amongst stunning mountain scenery at a height of 4700 meters and winding down through the Yungas cloud forest to the semi tropical setting of La Senda Verde animal refuge this is the best way to the experience beautiful scenery.

Day 1

La Paz - Cumbre - Coroico

We meet at our office hrs. 7:00 to test all of the equipment. Departs at 7:15 toward the "Cumbre" (4500 m). At this point we are at the Cordillera de los Andes, the guide will introduce the instructions and safety procedures to handle the bikes on the road. In this first part of the road it is paved, about two hours. On the way there is a wonderful view of the snowy mountains.

From Chuspipata starts the dirt road while we enter the Cotapata Park, on it´s road there is very low vehicle traffic , during this journey you can enjoy the change from high mountanis to lush vegetation of the YUngas. The tour ends in the town of Yolosa, where we take our transporatation the lodge to enjoy a bath with hot showers, swimming pool and a buffet lunch.

Day 2

Coroico - La Paz

At 10:00 we will visit the town of Coroico and coca, coffee and citrus plantations (according to the season). We will spend the morning enjoying a walk in the midst of lush greenery and waterfalls nearby, enjoying the magical region of the Yungas, a real show diversity and ecological mountain systems. Lunch in Coroico and return to La Paz.

This trip leaves daily from La Paz and is suitable for confident beginners. You must have insurance that covers you to do this ride, if you do not you can purchase this on the morning of the ride from your guide before departing La Paz. You will be required to sign a liability waiver on the day. Please give at least 2 days or more notice if possible for internet bookings to give us time to process the booking and also give you the best chance of getting a booking on this trip.

Age - You must be at least 18 to take part in this tour. Those who are underage will have to pay an extra in order to have an special extra guide for themselves only. This is compulsory.
