This expedition (in 4WD in total autonomy), We then enter the “Great Lipez”, region little known by tourism, where it is not rare to see condors, the trips to the Salar de Uyuni are an unforgettable experience, entirely off-the-beaten-path traverses the marvels of the Bolivian Altiplano. After the Salar de Uyuni, we take the direction of the South by the road of the Lagunas until we reach the Southern extremity of the country.

Day 1

Tupiza - San Antonio de Lípez

Departure at 7:30am to the Quebrada de Palala, surrounded by red hills. We will see the spectacular rocks of el Sillar, continuing to the mining areas of Nazarenito, Cerrillos, Polulos, Rio San Pablo de Lipez, we visit the colonial ruins of the Ghost Town in San Antonio de Lípez, continue to the Mirador de Laguna Morejón, Quetena(accommodation).

Day 2

Quetena Lipez - Laguna Colorada

Departure to Laguna Hedionda, Laguna Kollpa, Salar Chalviri, Termas de Polques, Laguna Verde (emerald green), Licancabur volcano (5916m), Dalí desert, "Sol de Mañana" geysers at 5000m with bubbling lava and sulfur smoke, Laguna Colorada (Red Laguna), with a deep reddish orange hue of red algae and other microorganisms that grow in the water, around the lake there are large white deposits of borax, flamingos and rare birds, Huayllajara (lodging).

Day 3

Laguna Colorada - Puerto Chuvica

The route crosses the Siloli Desert, characterized by its rock formations, where the famous Stone Tree is found, a volcanic formation whose base is 1 meter in diameter and 3 meters high, the Inca Canyon (viscachas), Lagunas Ramadita, Honda , Cañapa, Chiarkota, Hedionda where a sulfur odor (rotten egg) emanates from volcanic activity, are inhabited by 3 varieties of flamingos, Ollague Volcano Viewpoint (5900m) active, Salar de Chiguana, San Juan we visited (chullpas cemetery), Puerto Chuvica (Accommodation).

Day 4

Puerto Chuvica - Uyuni

We go to the Salt Flats de Uyuni (3650m.s.n.m), Incahuasi or Fish Island, consisting of a cactus-covered hill up to 12m high with over a thousand years, the first Hotel de Sal (museum), Ojos de Agua (Eyes in the Water), piles of salt drawn and processed in Colchani mines, for human consumption and used in traditional building, Cemetery of the first railway locomotives and wagons in South America, ends 13:00pm in Uyuni .
