Day 2

QUETENA - VOLCÁN UTURUNCU - POLQUES.- Today we ascend the Volcán Uturunco ​​(6008m) with a guide from the community. Departure at 04:00 am by jeep for 1 to 2 hours, up to 5300 meters above sea level. We begin our ascent for 3 hours reaching the top of the Volcano, which has semi-awake and active fumaroles that rise from 1 to 2 cm per year, it is the highest in the southern part of Bolivia, then we descend to return at approximately at 13:00 hours. to Quetena for lunch, we continue to Laguna Hedionda and Kollpa Laguna. Then we arrived at Polques, the Hot Springs, where you can swim at night at 36° by starlight, our second night in Polques in a basic community hostel.

Note: The trekking to this volcano is not difficult, but could be a little hard because of the altitude.

Day 1

TUPIZA - SILLAR - CIUDAD DEL ENCANTO - QUETENA .- Departure at 7:00am from the hostel to the Quebrada de Palala, surrounded by red hills. We will observe the spectacular El Sillar rock (Breakfast in the middle of the mountain), with its multicolored canyons, you will have time to take photographs, we continue to the Nazarenito, a small gold mining community. Then we will go to visit Ciudad del Encanto, where you will see impressive rock formations we continue through the San Antonio de Lipez mountain range, the “ghost town” has an interesting history, Then we will observe the Laguna Morejón with a high number of birds, we arrive at Quetena to spend the first night (Basic Accommodation).

TERMAS DE POLQUES - LAGUNA VERDE - LAGUNA COLORADA - VILLA MAR.- After breakfast we continue towards the Desierto de Siloli, Laguna Verde (4250 meters above sea level), which has an emerald green color due to the arsenic and magnesium content in its waters. It is located at the foot of the Volcán Licancabur (5916m), Desierto de Dali, a place with mountains of surrealist colors, reminiscent of the photos of Salvador Dalí and rock formations, we will go to the “Sol de Mañana” Geysers (5000m above sea level). One of the biggest attractions of Laguna Colorada is seeing the flocks of flamingos tt live here the change of red color is impressive due to its high content of microorganisms and algae, Finally we arrive at Villa Mar (Basic Accommodation)

Day 3

VILLA MAR - VALLE DE ROCAS - LAGUNA NEGRA - PUERTO CHUVICA .- After breakfast we will continue to the Valle de Rocas of rocks, this is the name given to the immense rocks that are scattered in an area of 50 hectares, where we can enjoy their natural beauty in columnar, cylindrical and other shapes to the imagination of the visitor, Copa del Mundo and El Camello. Then we head to Italia Perdida, where you will have time to walk around the rocks,We continue to Laguna Catal or Laguna Negra, where the Andean fauna lives such as (Llamas, Alpacas, Andean Foxes, Ñandús etc.), during the route you can also observe the Andean flora (Yareta, queñua, paja brava etc.). We arrive at Puerto Chuvica (basic salt accommodation).

PUERTO CHUVICA - ISLA INCAHUASI OR ISLA DEL PESCADO .- This day is the most fascinating, we cross “The great Salar de Uyuni” (3650 meters above sea level), early in the morning to see the Sunrise in the Uyuni Salt Flat. At 12,000 km2, the Salar de Uyuni is the largest salt flat in the world, we will make many stops to photograph its natural beauty, then we will arrive at the Isla Incahuasi or Isla del Pescado, (national park will be paid 30 Bs.) an Island that shows us its amount of Cactus and Coral stones, we will take a 30-minute walk Approximate minutes, until reaching the top of the Island and seeing the four cardinal points that are very interesting in its panoramic view, Ojos de Agua in the afternoon we will continue to the Colchani, the town where the salt is processed, the Dakar monument and the Flags of each country, Cementerio de Trenes where you will see a lof of ancient trains. The tour ends at 1-2pm.
